To me, the King Dedede and Meta Knight battles (and their theme songs) in Epic Yarn will always be String Dedede and Meta Knit.

Kirby’s Epic Yarn winning best graphics at E3 some time ago, and people raging about it beating out more realistic looking games just made me laugh.

The award couldn’t have gone to a more beautiful game, really.

But it could just be me preferring stylization given the Uncanny Valley sensitivity.

I rejoiced when, in Kirby Mass Attack, I finally heard Kirby’s “poyo” for the first time in a Kirby game.

Had that moment in Epic Yarn, myself.

Either way it’s super-adorable, and does see much more use in Mass Attack. :)
