Man I have been feeling super nostalgic for Kirby lately *_*

Hard to believe the series is over 20 years old and the anime came out over 10! I started watching my first year of college and got hooked like ya wouldn’t believe.  I still maintain it’s the best anime ever. Just a perfect combination of humor and drama without taking itself too seriously, creative character designs and catchy music.

And one of the characters is a gay purple snail that is in love with a 300 year old penguin.

YOU CANNOT BEAT THIS. :|

I’ve even softened on the 4kids dub in recent years. It’s still inferior but eh it wasn’t THAT bad compared to other shit they did. (One Pieeeece…)

I recommend everyone watch at least the first three eps! The CG hasn’t aged well but the regular animation is very smooth.

I fansubbed the first 66 or so (of 100) episodes, I imagine most of them are up on youtube by now. (Or you can download em here apparently http://www.kirbysrainbowresort.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=241485 )

Unfortunately I got burned out and had to stop. Subbing an episode a week for a year pretty much alone will do that to you! Sometimes I’d like to start up again but my Japanese has gotten rusty :T I had a great guy helping me out last time but I’ve lost his info! Nooo… I think some other people have done a few though.
