“In a nutshell this is his idea of what would of happened if Metroid Prime absorbed Samus whole and not just her Phazon suit at the end of the game. Rather than Dark Samus you get Samus turned into a Metroid Prime hybrid that is Queen of all Metroids. Kinda takes the Fusion story even further doesn’t it?”
A bit risque for FYM, so here it is at the main blog. It’s a really interesting AU concept… poor Samus, though. I could see the game being about, like, Samus trying to reassert her will over The Worm’s.
(And succeeding in the end, of course, it is Samus.)
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes | Vs. Emperor Ing 1
This guy was a push-over. The problem was the final incarnation of Dark Samus, which I suspect will be a lot easier with the Wii Remote when I replay the game on Metroid Prime Trilogy.
Definitely. In my opinion, battles are much easier when using the Wiimote to aim. Heck, the entire game feels easier. At the same time though, it’s a lot more fun since I prefer free-aim instead of holding R and standing in the same spot to look around.
I fucking hated Emperor Ing. The bastard took me half an hour to beat, and then the Worm would kill me, and I would have to fight Emperor Ing again.
Serious Ecco the Dolphin flashbacks, man. (The first game had a similar final setup of stupidly difficult marathon section —> final boss that makes you repeat it if you lose, though in its case it was a five-minute long forced scroll level of doom followed by the final boss.)
I had heard that the Trilogy version makes things easier before, and Emperor Ing actually having working aim during the bullfight section with him was one of my main draws for the Echoes re-release. Maybe this time I’ll actually beat that thing.Source: nintendocompositions
